My Process
01.

Fill out the form

Once you’ve made up your mind, complete my contact form, and I will get back to you within 2 business days.
02.

Booking your session!

We will decide upon location, date, and type of session. I will walk you through all the details needed. Then we will sign a booking contract and you will pay a non-refundable deposit/retainer. This is what will solidify your booked session!
03.

Finalizing every detail

Unless booking for a super basic general portraiture session, we will schedule a 1 hour consultation call to map out and prepare for our time together!
04.
The big day!

We’ll meet - please arrive as "camera ready" as possible and approx. 15 minutes before your session start time! Session time includes set up/clean up (if any). If we feel confident we've captured everything early, I like to take this extra time to give you a sneak peak of your pictures!
05.

Delivering photos

In about 1-2 weeks you will receive your edited pictures in a stylish password protected Client Gallery.
You may even conveniently purchase some goodies for yourself through the gallery!
06.
Share away!

When I publish your gallery, I will also send a Model Release Contract. This allows you to set boundaries and parameters over how I use them in commercial and promotional/marketing opportunities.

FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
Refer to "My process" above. It simplifies each step of the way for you!
You can also check out my more comprehensive Booking Guide.
What should I wear?
That depends on your vision! Always happy to float ideas. If you book me for anything more than 'general portraiture' our 1 hour consultation call will go over outfits/looks and props/accessories!
How many pictures will I receive?
This will be entirely dependent on the package you book me for. See my pricing page to see the amount of pictures you can expect to receive.
If you are ever wanting to receive more, we can work something out for an additional fee!
Are you available outside of Chicago?
My packages include 40 miles of round trip travel - covering a decent radius outside of Chicago proper.
If you would like to book me for a destination shoot (for example, a wedding), we can work that out! Some destinations, I may even discount the additional expenses if it's on my bucket list or conveniently located near loved ones.
These may include: Savannah, GA; The Bay Area; The PNW; NYC; South Florida
What are some Chicago based locations you'd like to be booked for?
Please can someone book me for the Garfield Conservatory or the Botanical Gardens. They are both soooo magical!
To what extent do you 'edit' pictures?
I will absolutely try to keep you true to you. I'm more of a fan of manipulating lighting and color to invoke a feeling. I may do some very light, very basic retouching if you have a random blemish.
I can do more extensive retouching for an additional cost if it's an edit that needs attention throughout majority of your gallery (most often it's correcting tanlines or removing tattoos)
But that is truly it!
What are some things that might add to the cost?
Travel beyond 40 miles ($1 per mile traveled by car)
Parking fees that exceed $10
Permits at certain locations
Extensive editing requests.
Travel expenses if a destination shoot.
Do you provide "raw"/unedited images?
I am so sorry, but I do not. I ask you book me based on the final edited look. I aim for a consistent style in my pictures. If editing is something you have particular opinions about, I ask we make time to discuss them during our consultation call!
Do you provide hair & makeup services?
No, but I do have a queer and kink friendly makeup artist that I can refer you to. You can arrange services through them!
I can also recommend my personal hair stylist - who is amazing!
Beyond that, I do have a history in the makeup world and I'm happy to provide some basic guidance if you're wanting to do this on your own.
Do you do shoots with 3 or more people?
I can! Most of my package rates are currently set up for solo or couple rates.
We can discuss additional cost per person included in a shoot beyond that!
What is a Print Release?
A print release is a legal document, often part of a photography contract, that grants the client the right to print and reproduce their images for personal use while the photographer retains the copyright.
This means you are not beholden to purchase prints through my client gallery if you would prefer a more affordable or flexible option!
Many photographers will charge extra for a Print Release, whereas I include them in all my rates. These are your images, afterall!
What is a Model Release?
A model release is a legal document that grants a photographer permission to use images or footage of a person for commercial purposes.
It essentially gives the photographer the right to use the model's likeness in various ways, such as in advertising, marketing, or on products.
My model releases allow opportunities for my clients to also have enforceable boundaries and limits on my usage of their images.
